1. "Palermo" is huge — a listing saying Palermo could be a 25-minute walk from the Soho plazas. Demand the cross-streets; on RentiHome we print them.
2. Avenidas roar. Córdoba, Corrientes, Santa Fe frontages mean bus noise until 2 am. One block off any avenida = silence. Balcony facing the street? Ask which street.

Heating type: losa radiante (radiant floors, bliss) > split units > a lone electric estufa — July in an unheated San Telmo classic is character-building. Departamento or PH? A PH (propiedad horizontal) is a ground-level unit off a shared passage: more space and often no expensas, but ask about damp, security and street noise. Expensas: confirm in writing they're inside your USD price — on temporario they should be; a listing that leaves them out is quoting to look cheap.
