Cancellation & Refund Policy

Monthly-stay cancellation terms. RentiHome lists furnished homes for monthly stays, so cancellations follow the one-month-notice approach standard for this kind of rental. Your exact terms depend on the policy the host has set for the listing (shown at checkout). By completing payment you acknowledge and accept these terms.

At a Glance

Each listing uses one of two policies. Both give a full refund if you cancel well ahead of check-in; closer in, up to one month of your stay is held and the rest is refunded.

Cancel well before check-in → Full refund
Standard listings: cancel 30+ days before check-in for a 100% refund. Listings on the longer-notice policy: 60+ days before check-in.
Within 24 hours of booking → Full refund
If you booked at least 7 days before check-in, you can cancel within 24 hours of booking for a 100% refund, no questions asked.
Closer to check-in → One month is held
If you cancel inside the full-refund window, up to one month (30 nights) of your stay is non-refundable and everything beyond that is refunded. On longer-notice listings, at least 50% is held.
After check-in (early departure) → 30 days' notice
If you leave early, you're charged for the nights already stayed plus the next 30 nights (or all remaining nights if fewer than 30 are left). Anything beyond that is refunded.

How the window is counted: Days are counted from the moment you submit your cancellation request to the start of your check-in date. Weekends and holidays are included.

How to Cancel

The easiest way is the self-service link in your booking confirmation email, which shows your exact refund before you confirm. You can also reach us directly:

Cancellation requests are reviewed and confirmed by RentiHome or your host, usually within 24 hours. Your refund amount is locked to the date and time you submit your request. Your booking remains active until the cancellation is confirmed.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of confirmation. Your bank may add a few additional days.

RentiHome is not responsible for delays caused by your financial institution. If you don't receive your refund within 15 business days, contact us with your booking reference.

Early Departure

If you check out before your scheduled departure date, you're charged for the nights already stayed plus the next 30 nights (or all remaining nights, if fewer than 30 remain). Anything beyond that is refunded. We recommend travel insurance that covers early-departure scenarios.

Changes to Booking Dates

Date changes are treated as a cancellation of the original booking and a new booking for the revised dates, subject to availability. If the new dates result in a lower total price, no refund will be issued for the difference unless the change is requested 30 or more days before the original check-in date.

Date changes to a higher-priced period require payment of the difference before the change is confirmed.

Host Cancellations

In the rare event that RentiHome must cancel a confirmed booking, we will:

RentiHome's liability in the event of a host cancellation is limited to a full refund of the amount paid. We are not responsible for any consequential costs including but not limited to airfare, travel expenses, or other accommodation costs.

Extenuating Circumstances

We recognize that extraordinary events sometimes occur. RentiHome may, at its sole discretion, consider refund requests outside this policy in the following situations:

Extenuating circumstance requests must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the event and accompanied by supporting documentation. Approval is at RentiHome's sole discretion and is not guaranteed. General illness, medical procedures, or voluntary medical tourism decisions do not qualify as extenuating circumstances.

Travel Insurance — Strongly Recommended

Given our strict cancellation policy, we strongly recommend that all Guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage before completing your booking. Travel insurance can protect you in the event of unexpected illness, injury, flight cancellations, or other circumstances that may prevent your travel.

RentiHome is not affiliated with any insurance provider and does not receive any compensation for this recommendation. You are responsible for evaluating and purchasing insurance independently.

Disputes

Any disputes regarding cancellations or refunds will be handled in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Service.
