First Quito month? La Floresta — the city's best version of itself, walkable at adjustment pace. The park is your gym? La Carolina, and run the 2,850 m track like a training camp. Lungs voting loudly? Cumbayá — 600 m of mercy, deliberately chosen. Tightest budget, streetwise already? Mariscal's Floresta-facing edges. Colonial romance non-negotiable? The altitude declaration: ask the elevation plainly — ridge addresses (2,800–2,900 m) vs valley addresses (2,150–2,300 m) are different physiological products, and hosts should say which they're selling.
